Aklan State University warmly welcomed distinguished delegates from Japan during a courtesy visit with University President Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin, held in line with the 70th Founding Anniversary celebration of the Provincial Government of Aklan.
The visiting delegation from Morimachi, Shuchi District, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan was led by Hon. Kosuke Okajima, Mayor, together with Ms. Honda Yuco and accompanying delegates. They were accompanied by representatives from the Office of the Provincial Employment Service Manager, led by Department Head Mr. Marsh B. Bernabe and OPPESM staff, as well as representatives from Arwan Cristan Japanese Language Training Center headed by its President, Mr. Joel Salaver.
During the meeting, discussions centered on expanding internship opportunities, enhancing Japanese language training initiatives, and exploring broader workforce pathways for ASU students in Japan. The engagement also highlighted ASUβs continuing role as a key partner in providing students with global technical exposure and international learning opportunities.
President Clarin expressed gratitude for the sustained collaboration and reaffirmed the Universityβs commitment to fostering international linkages that empower students and open doors to global career prospects.
