ASU studes win back-to-back at the PSA-Aklan competitions

Four students from ASU participated in and won various competitions during the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Aklan Provincial Statistical Office’s celebration of the 35th National Statistics Month.
A BS Civil Engineering student, Mr. Ken Vincent Tandog, won first place in the 28th Philippine Statistics Quiz Provincial Level, hosted by PSA Aklan, on October 25, 2024. He bested 26 competitors from nine universities and colleges in Aklan. With the support of his coaches from the College of Engineering and Architecture, Engr. Joel I. Molas and Engr. Boysie T. Tejada, Mr. Tandog dominated the competition. Mr. Tandog will represent Aklan at the Regional Level in Iloilo City on November 8, 2024.
Two students of the College of Arts and Sciences achieved remarkable success in the Infographics Contest. Mr. Jayson Velason, a BS Biology student, secured first place, while Mr. Emmanuel L. Mayordo, a BA Communications student, took home second place.
While a BS Education major in English student of the College of Teacher Education, Mr. John Marvin Renacido, won first place in the Photography Contest.
