With the Aklan State University’s commitment to quality and excellence, quality assurance has become an increasingly important feature in its operation. The Quality Assurance office is responsible for the internal and external quality assurance activities of the university in accordance with national and international standards and requirements being set and prescribed by accrediting and certifying bodies and organizations.

Duties and Functions:

• Provide overall administration and management of personnel, finance, property, facilities and equipment for delivery of services on ensuring quality and standards;
• Lead the University’s program on quality management system and mechanism for quality assurance and standards including accreditation, locally and internationally;
• Lead in the preparation of annual budget, human resource requirements and supplies and equipment for use in the maintenance and assurance of standards;
• Coordinate with the different colleges/schools, non-academic and service centers/units of the University for their various requirements for quality management and standards;
• Establish linkages with agencies and institutions that provide capacity enhancement and capability building requisites for the attainment of prescribed standards of excellence;
• Lead the planning, formulation and establishment of quality assurance mechanism in the University along its various programs;
• Prepare and submit required reports to the President; and
• Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the President
