Aklan State University climbed 20 spots in the latest Webometrics Ranking of World Universities by the Cybermetrics Lab.
ASU now ranks as 78th Best University out of 367 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines, a significant leap from its 98th ranking in January 2023.
In Western Visayas, ASU ranked fourth among the Top Universities behind West Visayas State University, University of the Philippines, and Central Philippine University.
The rankings are based on web presence of the university, specifically its impact, transparency or openness, and excellence.
Founded by the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain, the Cybermetrics Lab conducts quantitative analysis to measure the scientific activity on the Web.
