Aklan State University (ASU) sent two representatives, Dina M. Lariosa, Director for Security Services, and Gerlen P. Caรฑonero, Director, NSTP and DRRM Coordinator, to the Crisis Management on Active Shooting Incidents and Basic Intelligence training held on September 11โ12, 2026 at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Sta. Mesa, Manila.
Organized by the Commission on Higher EducationโNational Capital Region (CHED-NCR) in partnership with PUP Manila through the CHED Higher Education Upskilling and Study for Advancement of Staff and Faculty (HUSAY) Program, the training strengthens the participantsโ knowledge and skills in threat identification, emergency response, information gathering, and crisis management.
ASUโs participation reinforces the Universityโs commitment to strengthening campus safety, emergency preparedness, and institutional resilience for a safer academic community.
