Guided by its core mandate to foster lifelong support, institutional growth, and meaningful collaboration, the Office of Alumni Affairs actively bridges Aklan State University with its graduates.
What began in late 2025 as a strategic vision to elevate student career outcomes has officially come to life. Spearheaded in partnership with SeeMeSOL and championed by University President Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin alongside Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Eleanor Rosales, ASU officially announces Phase 1 of the ASU Alumni Career Nexus. Developed through months of consultative planning, platform customization, and executive coaching, this digital hub empowers students and graduates as they transition into the professional world.
This nexus core platform advantages are rooting for exclusive career access curated job and internship tailored to ASU academic programs, verified industry partners, and network development opportunity such as career fairs, alumni mentorships, and AI Powered Career Tools through resume building, interview preparation and english profeciency.
To ensure maximum engagement, the Office of Alumni Affairsโled by Alumni Director Dr. Wella Gem A. Samonte, Ms. Julie Ann Taglay, and campus Alumni Chairpersonsโhas initiated a comprehensive multi-campus information drive. Following successful orientations at ASU Ibajay (Sept. 2, 2026), ASU New Washington (Sept. 7, 2026), and ASU Makato (Sept. 9, 2026), the campaign will next visit the ASU Banga and ASU Kalibo campuses.
In coordination with the Office of Student Affairs, Guidance Services, International Affairs, ICT Support, and academic leadership (Campus Directors, Campus Directors, and Program Chairpersons, Alumni Chairpersons), ASU continues to secure strategic MOUs and MOAs with corporate partners, following an orientation meeting held on August 27, 2026, to ensure long-term career readiness.
