The agreement establishes a collaborative framework for education and public awareness, research and development, network establishment and operations, and extension and capacity development in the utilization of Space Science and Technology Applications (SSTA).
ASU President Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin, DIT, SUC President III, attended the MOA signing together with Dr. Gene T. Seรฑeres, faculty member of the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Sciences (CAFES).
As an academic partner, ASU will participate in mutually agreed SSTA research and development activities, particularly in the use of satellite imagery for disaster risk reduction and management, environmental assessment, agriculture, and fisheries. The partnership also provides opportunities for capacity-building, data sharing, and the development of methodologies and tools for applying satellite data to planning and sustainable development.
