As Aklan State University’s Commencement Exercises 2026 unfold this week across its campuses, the University prepares to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class and welcome a distinguished roster of leaders from government and higher education who will serve as commencement speakers.
Serving as commencement speakers for this year’s ceremonies are Dr. Myrna Q. Mallari, Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), for ASU-Ibajay; Hon. Jesus โJessโ R. Marquez, Congressman of the First District of Aklan, for ASU-New Washington; Hon. Jose Enrique M. Miraflores, Governor of the Province of Aklan, for ASU-Kalibo; Dr. Desiderio R. Apag III, Commissioner of CHED, for ASU-Makato; and Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino, Commissioner of CHED and Chair of the ASU Board of Regents, for ASU-Banga.
Their presence underscores the significance of this milestone as graduates prepare to embark on new journeys beyond the University. Through their messages of leadership, public service, resilience, and excellence, they are expected to inspire the Class of 2026 as they transition from student life to becoming professionals and changemakers in their respective fields.
With ceremonies scheduled from June 1 to 5 across the University’s campuses, the commencement exercises stand as a celebration of perseverance, growth, and accomplishmentโnot only for the graduates but also for the families, mentors, and communities who have supported them throughout their academic journey.
