Delegates from Murommachi Hokkaido and Tokyo, Japan visited Aklan State University to explore potential internship programs in engineering and agriculture, and to discuss employment opportunities in tourism, automotive, manufacturing, caregiving, farming, and construction. The purpose of the visit was to establish a partnership with the university.
During the visit, the Japanese Government delegation was accompanied by Mr. Joel Salaver, who acted as the group’s translator. They were welcomed by Alumni and Public Relations Director Dr. Wella Gem A. Samonte, Production Director Prof. Ma. Rema B. Lauron, and International Affairs Coordinator Mr. Zeus Bryan Nicolas.
The group also had the opportunity to meet with ASU President Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin earlier that day at the Kalibo Campus and to take a campus tour.
