The Teacher Education Faculty of ASU Ibajay conducted the “Benchmarking Best Practices in Filipino Language and Elementary Education Programs: Enhancing Teaching Quality and Curriculum Development” on September 9, 2024 at three universities in Iloilo.
The destinations for the said benchmarking trip were the University of the Philippines in the Visayas, Iloilo Science and Technology University, and West Visayas State University.
The activity was done to prepare the department for Level IV Phase 2 of its Bachelor in Secondary Education major in Filipino and Bachelor in Elementary Education programs. Moreover, the department will also be preparing for the opening of Master of Arts in Education major in Filipino Language Teaching.
Ultimately, this activity ensures that the programs offered by the department meet high standards and improve the quality of education by associating them against established standards or best practices.
