The benchmarking/exposure trip to Bangkok, Thailand is to leverage the experiences gained from the tour to enhance and fortify local initiatives, ensuring the continued growth and success of the natural fiber and textiles industry within the province.
The inclusion of diverse representatives from Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISATU), farmers, weavers, Capiz State University (CAPSU), Aklan State University (ASU), and Department of Science and Technology (DOST) ensures a multi-faceted perspective and facilitates a holistic understanding of the entire ecosystem. The collaborative nature of this initiative underscores the importance of partnerships between different stakeholders, emphasizing the need for synergy among farmers, weavers, government bodies, and non-governmental organizations.
