Aklan State University once again demonstrated its strong commitment to community service and humanitarian action as it partnered with the Local Government Unit of Banga and the Philippine Red Cross โ Aklan Chapter for a Mobile Blood Donation Activity held today, February 19, 2026, at the ASU Lanai, ASU – Banga.
With the theme, โGive Blood. Give Hope. Together We Save Lives.โ the activity gathered students, faculty members, non-teaching personnel, and community volunteers who generously shared not just their timeโbut a part of themselvesโto help save lives. The initiative aimed to strengthen the provinceโs blood supply while promoting awareness on the importance of voluntary blood donation.
From early morning, donors underwent registration, health screening, and proper medical assessment facilitated by the dedicated team from the Philippine Red Cross. The spirit of solidarity and compassion was evident as members of the ASU community stepped forward to support this life-saving cause.
ASU extends its heartfelt gratitude to the LGU Banga, the Philippine Red Cross โ Aklan Chapter, all volunteers, medical personnel, and every blood donor who made this activity a success.
