Key officials from Aklan State University (ASU) attended the Budget Briefing of the Committee on Finance to present the University’s proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2026 before the Senate of the Philippines.

Representing ASU was Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin, SUC President III, together with Dr. Michael T. Ibisate, Planning Director, and Atty. Mae T. Dela Torre-Borla, COA Audit Team Leader.

Their attendance aimed to ensure that ASU’s budget proposals are clearly articulated and aligned with the University’s strategic development goalsβ€”covering priority programs, infrastructure development, and support for quality education, research, and extension services.

The budget briefing provided an important platform for SUCs to engage with legislators and justify their funding requirements for the upcoming fiscal year. ASU’s active participation highlights its commitment to sound fiscal planning, transparency, and advancing the institution’s mandate to deliver accessible and quality higher education.
