The Regional Association of State Universities and Colleges (RASUC) VI-Western Visayas convened its Third Quarter Executive Board Meeting, with the active participation of ๐๐ถ๐ฟ. ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ ๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฒ ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฎ๐น๐ถ, Regional Director of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Region VI.
Her presence underscored the strong partnership between SUCs and the DBM in ensuring responsive and sustainable budget management for higher education institutions. Director Gayomali provided valuable insights into budgetary concerns and funding opportunities that will support the growth and development of SUCs in the region.
The meeting was likewise marked by the full attendance of all the SUC Presidents in Region VI, a testament to the collective commitment of higher education leaders in strengthening collaboration and advancing the shared goals of the regionโs academic community.
Representing Aklan State University were ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ฒ๐ณ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ ๐. ๐๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป, University President, and ๐ ๐. ๐ฅ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฎ ๐. ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ผ, Supervising Administrative Officer of the Finance Division, and RASUC VI Regional Budget Focal Person. Both actively took part in the deliberations on the Consolidated Region 6 Budget for 2026, Regional Research Consortium initiatives, SUC personnel complements under NBC guidelines, ROSSS Phase 3, campus personnel complements, and upcoming RASUC training and seminars.
The meeting emphasized the importance of closer coordination between SUCs and the DBM to ensure efficient resource allocation and improved delivery of quality education and services across Western Visayas.
