ASU-Banga Opens Academic Year with First Flag Ceremony

Banga, Aklan — The Aklan State University–Banga Campus formally welcomed its students and faculty to Academic Year 2025–2026 with the first flag ceremony held in front of the historic Gabaldon Building.

The program commenced with a message from Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Eleanor F. Rosales, who urged the academic community to embrace the new school year with purpose, integrity, and collaboration. “As we open this new academic year, let us carry with us a renewed sense of purpose, integrity, and cooperation. May our endeavors be guided with unity, honesty, fueled by curiosity, and strengthened through mutual respect,” she said.

Deans of the various colleges—Dr. Donna R. Lariosa (College of Arts and Sciences), Dr. Napoleon B. Marasigan III (College of Business and Management), Dr. Sergio F. Tolentino III (College of Teacher Education), Ms. Katherine R. Villaran (College of Nursing), and Dr. Gomersindo N. Canoy (School of Veterinary Medicine, OIC)—also delivered their welcome messages to inspire the students for the year ahead.

In behalf of University President Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin, Vice President for Administration, Dr. Anna Mae C. Relingo, delivered an inspirational address, emphasizing unity and commitment to excellence. USC-Banga President Charl P. Babali closed the program, which concluded with an energizing Zumba session led by the University Student Council Officers.
