ASU visits CAPSU for a Benchmarking Activity

As ASU revs up for its Strategic Plan 2025-2034, one of the main priorities of the university is infrastructure development.

Upon learning that Capiz State University (CAPSU) is currently the only SUC in Region VI to be granted ₱80 million in GAA-funded infrastructure projects for the fiscal year 2026, ASU conducted a Benchmarking Activity on July 28, 2025 at CAPSU Main Campus, Roxas City, Capiz.

This activity aims to learn from CAPSU’s best practices in budget allocation, infrastructure development, and the effective management of capital outlay projects.

CAPSU President, Dr. Efren L. Linan warmly welcomed the ASU delegation while Mr. Mark Glenn F. Villamor, CAPSU’s Planning Officer IV together with his team, shared their institutional frameworks and processes in securing and managing large-scale government funding for infrastructure. Mr. Villamor expressed his willingness to share insights and relevant processes that will help ASU strategize its infrastructure development.

The ASU delegation headed by President Dr. Jeffrey A. Clain was composed of key officials and technical personnel involved in budgeting, planning, and infrastructure projects across the university system.

This benchmarking initiative is part of ASU’s continuing commitment to innovation, transparency, and excellence in public resource management and university development planning.
