In its commitment to transparency, accountability, and public trust, ASU’s University Information Office participated in the 2025 Freedom of Information (FOI) Bootcamp for newly designated FOI Officers on July 3-4, 2025, at the B Hotel, Quezon City.
The two-day bootcamp is specifically designed for newly designated FOI officers across government agencies. It features a comprehensive training program that includes sessions on an overview of Executive Order No. 2 s. 2016, the FOI Inventory of Exceptions, a walkthrough of the eFOI Portal, FOI requirements, and hands-on workbook activities.
“This FOI Bootcamp definitely provided and equipped me as the newly designated FOI Officer with updated knowledge and tools that will guide me in handling information requests from the portal,” Ms. Lovella Chris L. Palma, Information Officer II, who attended the bootcamp.
