BANGA, Aklan — Representatives from the Department of Agriculture–Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM) paid a courtesy visit today to Aklan State University President Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin, immediately following an on-site orientation and tour of ASU’s Soils Laboratory.
Joined by CAFES Dean Dr. Eva R. Orlina, Soils Laboratory In-Charge Dr. Carmenchita M. Tumaca, and Director of Research and Development Services Dr. Melba L. Raga-as, the DA-BSWM team reviewed laboratory operations and discussed ways to strengthen soil-testing services across Aklan.
The visit underscored both institutions’ shared commitment to advancing agricultural research and delivering science-based support that boosts sustainability and productivity in the province’s farming communities.
