Aklan State University officially opened its Mid-Year R&D In-House Review and 16th Research and Development Symposium on June 24, 2025 at the ASU Conference Hall, bringing together the university’s researchers, faculty, and administrators for three days of collaborative reflection and scientific discourse.
Organized by the Research and Development Services (RDS), the symposium aims to assess ongoing research initiatives and foster a culture of innovation and scholarly excellence.
Dr. Melba L. Raga-as, Director of Research and Extension, delivered the Words of Welcome, emphasizing the critical role of research in shaping ASU’s direction toward sustainable development and academic leadership. Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin, SUC President III, followed with a compelling message highlighting the university’s vision and commitment to evidence-based decision-making through research.
To guide participants through the symposium’s mechanics and evaluation process, Prof. Gemma Quintana introduced the panelists and discussed the presentation and evaluation mechanics.
Running from June 24 to 26, 2025, the symposium provides a vital platform for presenting research outputs, gaining expert feedback, and enhancing ASU’s contributions to regional and national development through science and innovation.
