ASU Hosts Agency Performance Review and Budget Hearing for FY 2024-2026

Aklan State University hosted the Agency Performance Review (APR) Conference for Fiscal Year 2024, alongside the Technical Budget Hearing (TBH) for FY 2026 Tier 2 proposals. The two-day event, held on March 26-27, 2025, gathers key stakeholders from various state universities such as ASU, Capiz State University, Guimaras State University and the University of Antique to evaluate financial and physical performance and discuss budget allocations.

The conference opened with an invocation and the Philippine National Anthem, both facilitated by the ASU Information Office. ASU President Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin welcomed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability in financial planning for state institutions. A special message was also delivered by Dir. Ma. Llane L. Gayomali, Regional Director of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Region VI, underscoring the role of budgetary reviews in ensuring efficient resource allocation.

The first day featured agency performance reviews and technical budget hearings, with representatives from CAPSU and ASU presenting their budget proposals. Mr. Mark Glenn F. Villamor, Planning Officer IV of CAPSU, led the discussion for their institution, followed by performance evaluation and feedback from DBM personnel. Similarly, Dr. Clarin presented ASU’s budget proposal in the afternoon session, alongside Mr. Robert Louie Dela Cruz, Budget Officer III, and Mrs. Eleonor Teopy HRMO III, with DBM representatives providing assessments and recommendations.

The conference will continue on March 27, 2025, where further discussions on the financial performance and budget planning of GSU and UA are expected.
