ASU Board of Regents Successfully Holds 95th Regular Meeting

The ASU Board of Regents, the university’s highest governing body, successfully conducted its 95th Regular Meeting on March 14, 2025, at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Central Office in Diliman, Quezon City.

The Board is chaired by Hon. J. Prospero E. De Vera III, Chairman of CHED, with Dr. Jeffrey A. Clarin, SUC President III, serving as Vice-Chair. The Board also includes the chairpersons of the higher education committees from the Senate and the House of Representatives, as well as the Regional Directors of the Department of Agriculture (DA), the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) for Region VI. Additionally, representatives from the private sector and presidents of the Alumni, Faculty, and Student Federations are part of the Board.

During the meeting, newly-elected Alumni and Faculty Regents officially took their oath of office, marking the beginning of their term as members of the ASU BOR.
A key highlight of the meeting was the university’s 100% Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) achievement. The Board approved the withdrawal of non-compliant programs, ensuring that all academic offerings meet regulatory standards.

The ASU BOR rules on and approves the university’s policies and governance, overseeing its four core functions: instruction, research, extension, and production.
