ASU’s natural fibers center passes PhilFIDA inspection

The Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority (PhilFIDA) Regulatory Unit with PhilFIDA National and Regional Satellite Office VI conducted an inspection of the Natural Fibers Technology and Resource Center (NFTRC) of Aklan State University-Banga Campus, yon Wednesday, March 15, 2023.

During the inspection, the university’s NFTRC received a rating of 95% and was marked compliant with the evaluation criteria.

The center is one of the authorized fiber processors in the Province of Aklan.

Mr. Norberto T. Solano, Jr., Acting Head of Licensing Section, and was assisted by Ms. Joyce R. Icabandi, Fiber Development Officer I, and Ms. Jennilyn P. Aguirre, Support Staff conducted the inspection and evaluation of the facilities and premises.

Ms. Jioelle Laurente, Center Assistant of the NFTRC, represented Dr. Eva Orlina, CAFES Dean, and Dr. Melba R. Raga-as during the inspection.
