Dr. Emily M. Arangote, SUC President III, swore into office the reclassified, promoted, and newly- appointed personnel of Aklan State University, Thursday, February 23, 2023, at the ASU COnference Hall, Banga Campus.
Twelve faculty members who were reclassified pursuant to NBC 461 8th Cycle Evaluation took their oath of office.
Leading the list were Dr. Jolitte Villaruz and Dr. Sharon C. Masula, who were reclassified to Professor III and Professor I, respectively. Joining them were 10 other faculty who were also reclassified in the 8th Cycle.
Six Instructor I were also appointed, as well as 1 Guidance Counselor III, an Accountant I, an Aquaculturist I, Admin Aide VI (Clerk III), Admin Aide VI (Clerk II), and Admin Aide III (Clerk I) who were also sworn into office.
Dr. Arangote reiterated the values of her administration through the acronym, ASU I LOVE THEE.
“Be the LIGHT of Aklan State University,” she reminded the newly-appointed and promoted personnel.
Dr. Michael T. Ibisate, in his welcome remarks, exhorted everyone, “to whom much is given, much is expected.”
“Set your sights to higher goals. Surely, there is room for success for all of you here at ASU,” he also said.
Dr. Eva R. Orlina, Dean of CAFES, and OIC of the Office of VP for Academic Affairs for the day, discussed the Academic Policies of the University, while Dr. Cecile O. Legaspi, VP for Administration, presented the Administrative Policies.
