The Aklan State University Information Office conducted a benchmarking and knowledge exchange activity with West Visayas State University (WVSU) and Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U) on September 23, 2026, focusing on institutional communication, information management, and creative media practices.

\nThe ASU delegation was welcomed by the WVSU Public Affairs and Media Communications Office (PAMCO), headed by Dr. Hazel P. Villa, together with Ms. Katrina Isabel B. Gadong, Information Officer III; Ms. Jessa Angeli C. Temelo, Information Officer II; Mr. Dan Olsen T. Callosa, Information Officer I; and Ms. Wina May B. Dela Cruz, Administrative Aide VI.
\nThe delegation also paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the WVSU President, represented by Dr. Peter Ernie D. Paris, Vice President for Administration and Finance and Officer-in-Charge at the time. This was followed by a benchmarking and knowledge exchange session and a facility tour.

\nIn the afternoon, the delegation proceeded to ISAT U, where they were welcomed by CHED Regional Director Dr. Raul F. Muyong, who was also serving as Officer-in-Charge of ISAT U at the time, together with Dr. Heinz B. Gumaquil, PICO Director; Ms. Lucille P. Jaspe, Information Officer III; Ms. Jovette Aimee B. Arceta, Information Officer II; Mr. Rommel Griffith P. Habaradas and Mr. Jephtah C. Sutituido, Information Officers I.
\nThe exchange featured ISAT U\u2019s PICO Portal, an information system used to organize social media posts and archive events. Dr. Muyong also shared insights on areas for further improvement in ASU\u2019s information and communication operations.
