JUST IN: ASU wins Best FOI Officer

Aklan State University took home two awards in the Search for Best Freedom of Information (FOI) Program Implementer organized by the Philippine Information Agency.

Ms. Juna Belle Rosales, FOI Officer of the University, was awarded Best FOI Officer during the FOI Summit and Awards livestreamed via Facebook on Friday, November 25, 2022.

She was one of the eight FOI officers from all over the country who were bestowed the award.

The award was given to individual/s from government agencies who demonstrated exemplary progress and performance in the implementation of the FOI program in their respective agencies.

Meanwhile, Aklan State University was adjudged 2nd runner-up in the FOI Champion for State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) category.

ASU has actively promoted to raise awareness of people’s right to public information through continuous information drive in partnership with the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS).
